Strain hunter Franco Loja, one half of the famous “Strain Hunters”, died, January 2nd, 2017. The cause for his death is unknown at the time of this post. He was a partner of Arjan Roskam in the Green House Seed Co. in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Franco was the head breeder for the business which is the most decorated seed company in the world by lots of accounts.
Word was the Strain Hunters went to the Congo in hopes of broadening the knowledge base around utilizing cannabidiol to treat malaria and to continue their hunt for genetics. While no official cause of death has been revealed, different reports throughout the web have pointed to cerebral malaria being the perpetrator.
