Highgrade Seeds HOW DO I GERMINATE MY SEEDS?
There are several methods with which you can germinate your seeds successfully. The main principle to understand during germination is the seed is looking for a constant moist dark environment around 90F. Seeds can be placed between folded, wet paper towels that are kept moist and warm in an area between 90F-95F degrees, such as on the top of the refrigerator. After a period of 48 to 72 hours, the vast majority of viable seeds will crack open with a white root tip emerging. Allow the taproots to grow out for a day or so longer until they are over 1/2 inch long. At this point, the seed is gently placed in the growing medium with the root tip pointed downward.

If you have never planted a seed before and don’t want to risk screwing up your prized seeds, then the most idiot-proof method is to use a propagation tray with a heating mat underneath and a plastic dome on top to start your seeds in. Propagation mats were designed to provide a constant temperature & moisture to the soil. They can be purchased at most nurseries or through eBay for about $35. Simply place your soil in the small plastic containers it comes with (you can have 72 plants germinating at once), place about 1/8 cup of distilled water on the bottom of the mat, place humidity dome on, and plug it in. Simply make a small hole in the soil about 1/4 inch deep, drop the seed in, cover with a little bit of dirt and replace the humidity dome. Most viable seeds germinate within the week.

This time I ordered 15 Black Queen seeds, for about $4.20/ bean and got a freakin 10-pack of FREE African sativa seeds called “Malawi Gold” that I’d wanted for a while now!!! Their other exotic African land-race strains look awesome too!!! The genetics are very strong and consistent; the black queen is extremely heavy for an indica, and northern lights were very hardy in this SO CAL heat and proved super easy to grow!!! I’ve been very happy with their own superstrains also! Best buds I’ve ever grown. Out of several dozen 12 packs I’ve gotten over the years, nearly every bean has popped, and I haven’t seen any males that I can even remember… Also, they replaced one shipment that was lost in the mail a while back… Simply put: I wouldn’t trust any other seed bank when HGS consistently puts out top notch genetics, service, and discreetness….
As always I’m nervous sending cash or a M.O. through the regular mail; (next time I might money order it) but after 4 days I got a email that they received my cash payment, and sent the seeds + freebies immediately! I myself was worried about the same issue, the first time everything went great except not one single seed germinated and I tried everything, but I decided it might have been the climate, I do live in florida and never had any problems, I am going to give it I more try, they received my cash and I have yet to receive my product, if I don’t receive anything in a couple days I will try another site that I found and they take credit cards, if they do it right there will be no issues.
I’m very happy with my first experience with HGS.
I live in the US and they can’t take credit cards from US customers, but their ratings were good and the prices were so good for the seeds I wanted (including shipping and free 10 regular or 5 fem seeds with each order) that I took a chance and sent cash in US bills.
They recommend getting a tracking number, but it was kind of expensive to get one from the US to Canada so I just sent it regular mail with no tracking number and no proof that I ever sent anything. I’ve never done anything like that before, and I regretted it on the way home from the post office, but it was too late now and I wasn’t going to worry about it.
5 Days later I got an email saying my payment had been received, and a week after that my seeds arrived, including the freebies, all securely packed in a plain envelope and padded with extra paper.
I can’t say anything about the genetics because I haven’t grown them out yet and I’m not a botanist anyway, but they’ve proven they can be trusted. I will have no problem ordering from them again and sending cash for my next order.
