Autoflower – What are auto-flowering cannabis seeds, Auto flower weed seeds (self-Flowering) are a completely different kind of cannabis seeds than we are used to. A non-auto-flowering species will bloom when the days get shorter, or when the plants get fewer hours of light.
This is in contrast to the auto-flowering type because this strain goes into bloom when the cannabis plant is about 3 weeks old. It will not worry about whether the days that are getting shorter, so an auto flower automatically blossoms.
Growing
Which amount of light hours are ideal?
The best results are achieved with 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness. There are also species that do better with 20 hours of light and 4 hours of darkness.
How big should the pot be?
Most strains remain reasonably small. If the pot you grow it in has a capacity of 11 liters, that’s more than enough.
How many grams can autos get?
If you do well, you can count on average between 30 and 60 grams. This range is so large because growers ability and growing conditions can vary.
How late in the year can I grow autoflowering varieties outside?
You can still plant outdoors until the end of August.
This way you can have 3 harvests in the summer!
When do they flower?
An autoflower first grows about 3 to 4 weeks, after which it will begin to flower by itself and this takes between 6 to 8 weeks on average. In this way, you have a harvest between 9 and 12 weeks!
Seasoned breeders who complain about auto flowers have never considered putting one in their growth or flowering space, I do and I did it. Autoflowers do not need a lighting schedule to start flowering, and although you do not get the best results on 12/1 lighting it is more than possible.
I like to form my own judgment about something and try it before I start complaining. Okay, the yields might be a bit low for some growers, but the taste and potency of auto-flowers are fine and new autoflowering varieties are coming in at a fast pace that is absolutely outstanding.
Which seeds?
The following brands offer a wide range of autoflower seeds of excellent quality: Lowlife Seeds, Dutch Passion, Royal Queen Seeds, DNA Genetics 60 Day Wonder, Buddha’s White Dwarf, The Joint Doctor’s Ogre are three types that are above average potent and taste great. I have grown the first two species in my flowering area, which is therefore not ideal. Under the perfect conditions, an advanced grower raised 85 grams of an Ogre plant.

Autoflowering seeds have been developed by the best seed banks. As a result, the quality and strength comes close to the traditional cannabis strains and sometimes even surpasses them.
